Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

Peace to You & Greetings in Jesus Name. As a little boy attending school in Hong Kong; I was lazy, naughty & teachers punished me by handwritten many pages “I repent & be a good boy”.

Despite all these, my parents loved me & sent me to another school where I somehow managed to qualify external exam sent to a Government Technical School & then to Australia under impossible circumstances. Well, that was back in 1959 – 1970s & we are now parents to 3 Children & 7 grandkids.

God was good despite me being a “prodigal son” He hadn’t forsaken me & led me to Him in Sydney. Despite my not worthy, God sent my wife here to study & married me; support, encourage me to Walk through tough times in our 50 years marriage. As I said, I hated books & yet my coming to Salvation was through reading the testimonies of a Missionary & Hudson Taylor  of China Inland Mission, You may wonder why at this difficult time of COVID-19 I began “ Canaan Christian Monthly”. Well I asked God many times too why would someone want to initiate any project NOW? I kept asking God why me, is this the right time, where would I get finance & who will help?

Well, a Canadian Brother knew nothing about this called & sent love gifts; a brother I hadn’t met offered his expertise in graphic design & online marketing. Help also come from other Publishers to have access their contents & expertises in on line publishing.

Why the name Canaan? It’s the land of Milk & Honey!

Initially, it was meant to reach the next generation Australia Born Chinese but a brother reminded me since it’s in English it will reach much bigger people groups. Now that really frightened me as this is a huge Challenge to face!?! Well, Dear Brothers & Sisters please pray for me & Jason Choy who helps in art & design. Pray for us like the Deciples in the Storm crying out to the Lord for help.
